MAYOR BRADLEY A. STEPHENS DECISIVE VICTOR
Mandate with 92 Percent of the Vote
Mayor Bradley A. Stephens was appointed Mayor of Rosemont by the Village of Rosemont Board of Trustees, on May 1, 2007, two weeks after his father, Mayor Donald E. Stephens, passed away while serving his 14th consecutive term in the same office. Mayor Don Stephens was one of the longest serving incumbents in the nation.

ROSEMONT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP FUND CHOOSES TWO WINNERS
Congratulations to Natalie Fuerst and Anne Householder, the two college-bound, high school seniors out of 15 applicants who have won $1,500 each in the first ever Rosemont Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program. Ms. Fuerst and Ms. Householder have been notified and will accept their awards on June 15, at the chamber’s annual golf outing at Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling
Both winners applied through Resurrection Hospital, where each has a parent employed.
Applicants were required to be college-bound high school seniors who are Rosemont Chamber of Commerce member business owners, managers and/or their employees, and/or children of employees.
The selection process was based on a 35-point scale, which does not focus solely on academic performance. Points also were awarded for involvement in extracurricular activities, part-time employment and volunteer experience.
“It is very gratifying for our chamber to be able to really make an impact on the lives and future careers of these local students, who are both daughters of employees of a member organization,” said Grant Bailey, board member. “We hope to be able to continue generating donations in order to maintain a scholarship program of this kind.”
The scholarship program was funded by proceeds from a chamber event.
