Rosemonts first new mayor in 51 years

BRADLEY A. STEPHENS

Bradley A. Stephens, age 44, has served the Village of Rosemont, Illinois, as a member of its Board of Trustees for the past 18 years.   On May 1, 2007, Mr. Stephens was elected unanimously by the Village of Rosemont, Illinois’ Board of Trustees (following the passing of his father, Mayor Donald E. Stephens), to serve out Mayor Stephens’ term.

For the past 10 years, Bradley Stephens has worked side-by-side with his father, who was the village’s first and only mayor until he passed away on April 18, 2007.

Bradley Stephens graduated from East Leyden High School in 1987, and began his career as a tradesman in carpentry.  He was a carpenter at both the Donald E. Stephens Convention and Conference Center and at the Allstate Arena.  He also was an auxiliary policeman and dispatcher in the village’s Public Safety Department; he has worked in nearly every major department in the village in some capacity.  All together, his career spans 28 years of public service.

Most recently, the new mayor has been serving as chairman of the Development Committee of Rosemont Walk, the 60-acre, $500 million entertainment district project.  He also is chair of the municipal development committee and former chair of the political and finance committee.  He has been very active in the Rosemont Voters League for more than 20 years.

His public service has not been limited to Rosemont.  He has served as Township Supervisor for Leyden Township for the past 14 years.  He is the past president of the Leyden Republican organization.

He resides in Rosemont with his wife, Suzi, and his children, Raquel, 19, Bradley, 17 and Danny, 14.

Congratulations Village of Rosemont on 50 Years of Unprecedented Progress!
